CM Naidu vows to visit tribal woman after hearing P4 initiative success story

Tirupati: The P4 initiative in Andhra Pradesh, which stands for Public-Private-People Partnership initiative, a flagship programme launched by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during his second stint in power in the State post-bifurcation, is fast catching up.
The programme is aimed at bridging the gap between the haves and havenots by by convincing the affluent people to mentor the poor to bring them out of poverty by improving their financial conditions. Terming the mentors as 'margadarsi' the programme is aimed to remove poverty by 2047 as part of Swarnandhra Mission.
The P-4 initiative aimed to uplift the poor introduced by Chief Minister Naidu kindled a ray of hope on better living to a tribal woman. Narrating her experience to Chief Minister during P-4 anniversary programme held at Padmavathi Mahila University at Tirupati on Monday, the woman said when mentors came forward to help them at first, they started with hesitation and disbelief and only after three months they stepped forward with Aadhar cards instilling confidence in their words.
The woman said with the change in their mindset, today, her family lives in a newly constructed house—something they once thought was out of their reach. Along with housing, they received nine sheep, one ram and ten poultry birds, ensuring a steady source of livelihood under the P-4 initiative.
